High-Level Questions
- What does your project do? (1-2 sentences)
- The Cow Body temperature monitor is intended to measure cow’s vaginal temperature without being invasive, measuring on the skin surface.
- Who is your project for? (1-2 sentences)
- This project is for farmers since it is intended to measure cattle’s temperature.
- Describe how someone would use the developed device. What are the steps that a user would go through to interface with the technology? (at least a paragraph)
- The steps for using this temperature monitor would be very simple. Because the design will mimic the shape and size of the already existing cow’s neck collar, one can use it just like cow’s collar. One major difference will be the tension. The normal cow collars are fairly loose and can move around along the neck. However, the temperature monitor has to be tight enough to ensure the fair contact between skin and the temperature sensor. The trick would be not having the temperature monitor too tight around the neck that might cause discomfort to cattle.
- What makes your project different from existing products? (2-4 sentences)
- There are many health monitors for cows out there. However, none of them can measure the vaginal temperature. This project is to enable that just from the neck collar.
