In class on Wednesday of last week I soldered my sensors to wires so that I can prototype and test on a flat surface. Once I did that I was able to get really reliable data points. With those data points I was able to create a successful code that turns the volume up as well as down incrementally using the volume slider. Now I need to put in a line of code that keeps the volume where it is and doesn’t change the volume until it is touched again. This week I will focus on finishing all the code and getting the sensors to work. Then next week I will be implementing the technology into the jacket. It will be tricky to get the bluetooth to work, but I think I can do it. If not I can always revert to my simpler backup plan; however, with the way things are looking I am optimistic that it will work.
