Design has changed from a hexagon composed of 50ish triangles to just six triangles. In the future I would like there to be more “elements” but that it probably too ambitious for a first prototype. This means I will no longer need a multiplexer but instead a few transistors to allow the circuit playground express to control the greater battery power needed to power the heating pads. The transistors and a few more heating pads are on their way from sparkfun.
Above is a diagram of how the heating elements will be distributed. I still like the look of all the smaller triangles despite the fact that they won’t all be individually controllable.
Things done last week
- Tested different thermochromic pigments on a shirt
- got BLE module on circuit playground express to communicate with phone
For this week I would like to finish these portions of the project.
- Test android nRF app
- get shirt screenprinted
- pending on arrival time of transistors, put the “complete” circuit together
