-Here are some images of the current state of our project
Image 1: Isaiah testing the first iteration of the MIDI armband with 5 note buttons and a potentiometer hooked up to the Circuit Playground Express
Image 2: Circuit Playground express hooked up to a breadboard in order to test our Bluetooth functionality
Video 1: A brief test of the Arduino functionality in the MIDI armband
-A Listing of accomplishments made by all group members for the previous week
- Chris: Selected and ordered the prototype supplies and researched Bluetooth Arduino interface as well as learned the Hexadecimal and Binary communications of MIDI code
- Yewon: Made the armband with a sewing machine(Wed), and started working on Bluetooth and teensy board (Sun)
- Isaiah: MIDI control of music software with circuit playground express
-A description of problems encountered and outstanding issues (highlight anything that you are looking for help on)
- Some problems that arise when trying to operate our prototype is interfacing the Bluetooth transceiver components to the Teensy Board Arduino, and I believe we can benefit from just researching more about the Arduino MIDI interface. Another outstanding issue with our project is determining the locations of the 8 note buttons on the arm as well as the 2 potentiometers and input change button. The last issue is the use of a battery and determining how we will power our device.
-A plan for the next week of work
- Our plan for this week is to continue the physical design and layout of our MIDI armband, as well as continue troubleshooting our Bluetooth interface
