Project Post 3

2) What does your project do?

Project Spark, name is subject to change, is a jacket that enables creatives to create in a more collaborative and natural way. Using touch gestures the user can use adobe creative cloud shortcuts, mimic the mouse of their computer, as well as change the volume and song choice.

2) Who is your project for?

This project is for anyone who uses the adobe creative cloud programs on a regular basis. This is because the buttons are programed to work with the Adobe products.

3) Describe how someone would use the developed device.  What are the steps that a user would go through to interface with the technology?

You wake up in the morning, put on this jacket, and go on with your day. Today you go to work and you walk. You have your wireless bluetooth head phones on with your favorite song playing. The song is too loud so you slide your finger on the top your sleeve to change the volume. Or press a button to change the song. If you are on your computer you can use the square force resistor as your mouse too. If you start to work on the adobe products you can open photoshop on your monitor and control the program on your sleeve. The most specific use case would be if two people were collaborating on a project, they one, don’t have to be glued to their screen and two, they can both work on it at the same time.

4) What makes your project different from existing products?

What makes this project different from existing products is it connects to your computer and it also promotes creativity. That is why I believe in this project is because I think it will empower people to be more creative. It will also allows for a platform for artists to collaborate. You could essentially have two people, in real time, work from their sleeves and edit or create a project.
